Overview

I've recently been thinking about my own personal life and the things I've done and seen. I thought it would be a good reminder for myself to kind of summarize the years. I'll start with more current stuff with what I remember and then work back.

What started it was writing a history about my family for my niece. Every month, I'd write as much as I could in a notebook about my mom's side of the family and then we'd switch notebooks, the second notebook being about my dad's side of the family. Of course I didn't keep a copy of either of those notebooks so I'd probably have to start again.

Then my mom passed away and in going through her papers, I found a letter from my aunt to my dad saying that he should really think about marrying my mom since he hardly knew her. What?? 

And the big kicker? We're planning a trip with friends and one of the stops is in Hawaii. I know that I used to live there but where? In an old photo album, my mother had written the addresses of our homes along side some of the photos. I never knew that I lived in Bremerton, Washington.

So, this blog will be kind of a year in review summary and perhaps a bit biographical about me and my family. It's only for personal use, though I realize that when its on the web, anyone can find it. Who knows? Maybe after I'm gone someone will find it and think it interesting.
